BIGASH/FF-Racing X85 Clio Cup Racer Project

Sometimes you can be too gentle when doing it Martin. Whilst obviously being as smooth as possible, you may need to be a little more aggressive with the blip. As James says, try practising a lot of track techniques whilst on the road (at sensible speeds obviously lol). Imagining racing lines...

Track Attack French Trophy or 750 Motor Club Clio 182 Series 2014 : What to choose?

Re: Track Attack French Trophy or 750 Motor Club Clio 182 Series 2014 : What to choos FT is no engine mods but aftermarket air filter and exhaust only and no coilovers, if you look on the Track Attack forum, draft regulations are available. These obviously might change slightly but confirmed...

New Clio 182 Series - 750 Motor Club

I am just being realistic, as there can be huge differences in these Clio engines' power output, it's also not just Clios but Pug and Citroens that can enter too. There is no hate to the 750MC, the "anger" is purely that people have been taken in by the control aspect of the series. Whilst in...

New Clio 182 Series - 750 Motor Club

Haven't we covered all of this before in this thread? In a nutshell: 750 MC = reasonably cheap to get on grid and have reasonably tight restrictions, albeit maybe not the best choice of parts. TARC = far cheaper to get on grid and might be a slight variance in cars' performance = gamble you...

    Rear tyres on track query...

In that case put them on the front and whack the road tyres on the back and smile all day.

    Rear tyres on track query...

You'd be best to get the same type all round really. Even if that means all road tyres but if that's not an option, then I'd put the track tyres on the back. I'm guessing you have no/little track experience so understeer is a safer option for you.

Stick with what you've got Russ, sounds fine to me, take an HT lead out and shove a potato up your exhaust. Might give me half a chance then.

    RSR or DZ03G?

I'm on cup shocks, sportlines and a Whiteline and found them fine. I run about 2.5deg. They do wear a bit on the edges and I know that Chip thinks that 3+ seems to cure that. The only really bad wear I suffered was at Mallory, so unfortunately that won't be a problem for a while. If I was just...

    RSR or DZ03G?

Ah ok, I read as how I used to be - driving to track, have a blast and drive back. Therefore RSRs are plenty good enough, performance wise and keep your costs down but 888s are better IMO. Racing head says buy the best you can afford of course. Edit: I think RSRs last far better on a softer...

    RSR or DZ03G?

Are you getting RSRs and R1Rs mixed up James? Whilst I'd agree about 888s, RSRs offer a lot of the same all round capabilities, for a fraction of the cost of 888s and for road use, you'd really be pushing too hard to feel the difference. Personally I wouldn't bother buying any kind of track...

Looking for advice with regards to a Garage and where I stand!

I wouldn't bother writing a postdated cheque. Most places will just bank it now and get away with it.

Looking for advice with regards to a Garage and where I stand!

As it's taken them that long, then I'd say that you're somewhat justified in letting them chase you for it.
