In a nutshell:
750 MC = reasonably cheap to get on grid and have reasonably tight restrictions, albeit maybe not the best choice of parts.
TARC = far cheaper to get on grid and might be a slight variance in cars' performance = gamble you...
You'd be best to get the same type all round really. Even if that means all road tyres but if that's not an option, then I'd put the track tyres on the back. I'm guessing you have no/little track experience so understeer is a safer option for you.
I'm on cup shocks, sportlines and a Whiteline and found them fine. I run about 2.5deg. They do wear a bit on the edges and I know that Chip thinks that 3+ seems to cure that. The only really bad wear I suffered was at Mallory, so unfortunately that won't be a problem for a while. If I was just...
Ah ok, I read as how I used to be - driving to track, have a blast and drive back. Therefore RSRs are plenty good enough, performance wise and keep your costs down but 888s are better IMO. Racing head says buy the best you can afford of course.

Whilst I'd agree about 888s, RSRs offer a lot of the same all round capabilities, for a fraction of the cost of 888s and for road use, you'd really be pushing too hard to feel the difference.
Personally I wouldn't bother buying any kind of track...
