Sold my Iceburg PH1 172 Just before Christmas :dapprove:..... But did by another one as a winter run-around, Which ended up turning into yet another project -
Re: Cub 172's Flamer Project
Still looking as good as the day you bought it from us! With some new shiny bits added too ;)
If I hadn't needed to rebuild the Megane I would have kept this one for myself, Really tidy car inside & out!
Not always true, the car "could" be generating more power/torque from the new exhaust there for putting more load on the gear box.... Most dealers will work hard to get out of warranty!
Testing shall begin shortly with Rikus automotive with there very positive results on very early testing with there semi-group N tool + RS2 - http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?597835-Semi-GR-N-camshaft-locking-tool.
As soon as I know more I'll have details in the traders section :)
Yes they resolved the 428's same as you, Lost out on all the fitting/ removal, cambelt kit, aux belt, driving across Europe etc... all part of the fun :(
421's on the other hand were ball ache to get resolved, Still not completely happy.........
I was told there were only a couple of stray...
Re: JDM Y0 - My new project - *** New rocker cover fitted PG14***
Really tidy car Ben, EP3 Type R (pre-face lift) is certainly a car I would like to own at some point :)
Keep up the good work!
Wow 428's could be back up in value if there is a cam setting tool that could allow them to be set the same as the 438's!
Any one that knows my history with Catcams know's why I would never touch a set again, I was one of the lucky one's who ended up with the duff batch of 428's, What a...
I'll put this one up for the RS2 Haters ;)
My good friend Sir dave's trophy - Remap, BTB cat-back, RS inlets, PMS aircon delete Kit & V6 airbox (Standard Inlet manifold)
So that's how many ftlb's laine, Oh yes 150 - for erm 200 rpm :)
At 2,500rpm its making under 120ftbs! Just in case you...
Sadly there is a big jump in price, but you get what you pay for :)
My all time favourite's are the FK koni kit, sadly only officially available for the 172 hub pattern but they can be machined to work with the 182 cup packed hubs
Having used H&R's in the Clio and having them fitted on the Meg 225 I certainly rate them highly but if your looking for a serious up-grade I would strongly recommend AST ;)
Pagid Blue for me all day long, Jack from MWM fitted a set to his turbo 172, Superb power, no fade at speedo reading of 140+ mph at bedford Circuit, Ace cold bite & best of all no squeal! £200 for a front set though :o
No...
If you can't afford decent coilovers I would suggest Eibach sport line springs & a fresh set of standard dampers, Race land's are terrible unless you want to slam your ride yo!
Wow this threads turned into a hot one lol!
I thought I would give a quick in sight information on the results we found when we were testing a de-cat on a 182 at Torque of the devil last year (dyno dynamics rr)... Sadly I have no graphs of this as there were all stored on my previous work...
f**king Ali-G !!!!! Was a funny film though and & we took the morning off School to watch them film it down Staines massive hight street ;) - Chicken dipppppeeeerrrrsss
Wow! Didn't see this coming! You've done cracking Job with the car & the price is very fair considering the parts/ condition/ milage!
I've got a pm for you, 2 secs!
