Best bet is to take it off to see where it's actually coming from
but first I would drop the oil level just a little just enough to try eliminate the sump gasket weeping
It's under the black trim on the right hand side
use a bolt of the correct thread and bolt it on, may be worth putting a little extra weld on it if your worried
but renault seem to think it's ok for a fully laden car, so a stripped out track / race car will be fine

He is going a slightly different route as the direct injection on mps was a nightmare, he is now doing a 2.3 duratec turbo iirc
Got the block re bored and re honed this week
forged rods and cosworth pistons, heavy duty bearings so almost good to put it together
Off on paternity leave for next 3 weeks, so no doubt will take a while

350 bhp sounds rather swift, ford ka not so much
Race car as in competitive motorsport or track car ?
Gains are fairly hard / expensive to achive on this engine, you need to concentrate on handling IMO, a well set up car will be far quicker than an extra couple of Bhp
