We had a comparison of Prima Amigo (Furthest away), the Swissvax, Zaino Z2, Wolf's Body Wrap (Closest)
Considering the difference between the Swissvax and the Wolf's or the Zaino Z2 which are £22 and £15 respectively, you probably couldn't say it was noticeably £110 better!
As I said, I had a go with Swissvax Shield on Sunday, it's only been on my bonnet since then so I can't comment on durability, but it went on effortlessly and smelt AMAZING. Worth £130? I couldn't say, but it was an enjoyable experience!
A fair view, but as I said, the Zymol waxes feel slightly more special for some reason, maybe it is the pot. It's definitely the thing I worry about damaging most in my collection!
After working that hard to clean a car, picking up a nice smelling wax that goes on like butter is so rewarding...
Agreed, Zymol Carbon feels 'boutique', and for £50, it's a no-brainer.
Tried Swissvax Shield on the weekend (£130) and that felt so nice to apply, mostly because it came out of a black pot and went on like butter. :o
If you have to justify the price of expensive wax you haven't tried one.
It's Wolf's Glass Sealant Dave, we put one coat on at Shinearama but it didn't seem that amazing, it needs 3 coats and 12 hours curing after the final coat apparently.
Some decent photos, would be interested to see the depth of the paint now after the whole of CS has had a go with a rotary on my bonnet!
For anyone who bought the Wolf's glass sealant, it apparently needs 12 hours before seeing rain to cure properly!
Might be worth looking at the Meguiars DA Microfibre System, was very impressed with it yesterday and it was a doddle to use.
One pad, one polish, easy job.
You couldn't help yourself could you Chris :rasp:
Picked up some bits yesterday from Shinearama as well:
Meguiars DA Microfibre System
Wolfs Nano Glass Sealant
ValetPro APC
Britemax Grime Remover
Tardis 5L
IronX 1L
Couple of Megs bottles
A free trial bottle of TRIX for letting them use my car...
Went home to the Forest of Dean where it's being kept in my rents' garage, rain was on and off but I managed to clean and get it inside to dry off :)
Unfortunately not but apparently it needs 3 coats, will give it another try next time.
Haha I don't normally say this but it's nice to stop...
I don't think it was left to cure long enough tbh or maybe more needed to go on, don't be disheartened!
Back to the 1.2 it is now for a week or two :( must of been nearly 50 quid of petrol used today Chris...
Finally home after torrential rain on the motorway, was nice to put names to faces and definitely the best CS meet I've been to.
Enjoyed seeing what could be done on my car as well, even if I didn't trust anyone taking a rotary within 5 miles of the car!
Thanks for sorting Ed.
Edit: btw The...
Good for you if thats what you are happy to do mate, we live and learn.
Making me think twice about ever buying a new Renault tbh!
You should make RUK aware that you have updated at least 2 forums with every update, maybe just a link to the service manager for this thread and your login...
Thanks guys :)
It's amazing how many of the products used can be used on other colours and cars, it's a money maker telling people that they need to buy colour specific products!
Spent today cleaning and protecting the 200 before going up to Manchester tomorrow.
With it only being a few weeks since a full decontamination, polish and seal, the car has only been driven a few times since so didn't need much doing to it, but a few new deliveries meant a few new products to...
