When I swapped to a 182 manifold on my 172 I lost 3bhp but gained 7lbft.
The only thing I noticed from the swap was the car felt smoother through the rev range.
Love the wheels Chris.
What sub frame is the seat mounted on? I want to do away with the sliding frames in my Bimarcos.
Pretty gutted as I tore my drivers seat the other day with a stud on my jeans :(
I went for RS2.
Reason being, it's bolt on / bolt off and my belts were done already and I didn't want to spend the money having them done again.
It's a daily driver with the odd track day, motorway over taking is a pleasure with the RS2 fitted.
Quite happy -
I've had 5 of them over the years as company cars and they were bullet proof Took death day in day out without any complaints and never let me down.
No fast but capable of keeping up with traffic an great mile munchers.
Result, glad Charlie found it for James, nice to see the standard car vs the RS2 over laid :)
Will have to get a copy sorted when I finally get the mapping sorted!
Love threads like this, always something entertaining going on.
The Leon I drove was a snore fest with a horrid ride, but that's just my opinion.
I personally would rather a smaller car with less power but great handling making for a good all rounder than something resembling the Titanic...
Not read any of the thread, have no idea on any of the context of Danny's post nor do i care do comment other than yes you did say the above, and I always listen to people who have a better technical knowledge than me, even Chip who can't half waffle on ;)
Group hug?
Anyone know what the name of the soft black cloth bucket seats are trimmed in (Bimarco).
I stupidly ripped a hole in my drivers seat bolster with my jeans :(
Need a small piece of material to patch it, I don't know why but I have it in my mind the material is called 'Rock' or something...
James was gonna have a word with Charlie To see if he still had the standard graph, which IIRC was about 164bhp, don't recall the torque figure. Hopefully he managed to get the graphs over laid.
Map wise it's the RS Tuner 98ron map.
And your right, the Cam Advance switched off at top end so...
