well, i went to chorley the other week and got 56mpg after a good 30 mile drive doing around 62mph, just been to the lakes and have been getting 48/9mpg after a very good motorway run/some b-road driving, this is in my gt tdi golf btw, after me thinking it was s**t on juice its reasonablly good...
i was under the impression a supercharger was a no go for the clio for some reason, obviousley this ws when i had one and was hoping for a big power jump back in the days, so is a supercharger now a viable option, from what i remember, it was quite cost effective but wouldn't fit or something?
it aint broke mate, and i dont drive it like a loon ( thats what the pugs for ;) )
very rarely get it to 2.5k revs, generally change at 2.1 ish lol, and then if it goes above that its in top gear, or if i'm smoking past some old t**t!
must mention, my car journeys, are generally 7 mile trips to and from work on b roads, so i suppose the car doesn't get chance to give its full potential, but i expected better tbh, no doubt on a long run, it would improve
ps. its on 18 inch rims so this wont help
yeah, remember yours ending in rug now actually, from many a moon ago, when we had a blast down the m65 from burnley in my old valver, this one ended in EPY
main reason i ask is i'm just wondering if its actually worth me having a diesel, i've got a golf gt tdi as a daily driver, as much as its a lovely car, it costs £55-£60 to fill up and i'm getting 470 miles to a tank, dont think its really worth it for the miles i do, debating selling it and...
Aye he's on here alright, nice motor indeed, we've had many a blasts when i had my williams, and a bit of a blast a few weeks back in my oil burner golf ;)
cool, i'll have a look for it, got to be the ultimate mk1 imo, ( ultimate clio in fact ) handle like f**k and goes like f**k! love it, if these conversions ever become popular/more available i think thats the route i'd be heading down.
