pads on their way out?
stones wedged in ur tyre tread?
if its high pitched then i think its unlikely to be wheel bearing, but u never know.
do u only notice it when ur windows are open? i can hear a sort of whistling when my window(s) are down and its just air flow (i hope!) ;)
its all relative isnt it. i average 35-40mpg as opposed to 25mpg anyway.
and mark there's no point "apologising" for the condescending tone, ur enjoying it far too much for that to be genuine ;) lol. but i thank you for taking the time to explain it properly! i guess i'll have to start...
yes i understand where the miles come from, but i dont understand how that justifies the additional cost?
lets assume its £3 extra per tank for 70 tanks = £210 per year.
So the "extra" 3000 miles cost 7p per mile.
Is that a good deal then? I've never sat down and worked out the cost per mile...
how can u expect me to do the math here when u havent either? how does ur "few pence" more equate to 3000 miles a year? i think you'll find its a fair few quid per tank, multiply that by 70 and u get quite a substantial figure! equivalent to half my insurance premium!!
besides which, i'd have...
lol i draw the line at tesco tho! only in dire emergency!
at the end of the day its only going to make a difference of a few hp. hardly noticable imo. and if u drive +30k per year it sure as hell adds up!! :dapprove:
i put 95 in the first time, 97 since then. not sure it really matters that much tbh, as this article proves ;)

in future i will only put 97 in if the price is right!
