Well the red wheels came off yesturday morning and replaced with something a little more subtle. I will miss them though. I know many will prefer the red but it was time for a change.

As said too expensive. A 172 with 100k on it wouldn't fetch much more. Didn't Evil Giraffe only get 2k for his ph1 172 and that looks to be a very good example!

ELF Tranself 75W80, I was told it was the only oil Renault will put in a JC5 box. I had my gearbox rebuilt and after got abit of resistance going into to third from fourth, changing the oil to ELF solved this.

I'm sure you'd be alright lowering it 50mm on coilovers. I thought the ph1 bumper sat lower than the ph2, but then I suppose you have a splitter to consider aswell.

I'll get some, cheers for that. Hah! The black F1's are 15's. I think 16's in general don't suit the Ph1. I had some 16 inch Superlegera's and they didn't look right on it either.

I'm thinking yellow decals, well just Oz logo on the centre caps, calipers and maybe the 2.0 16v badges. I will stick the Turini's up for sale in a bit.

No one wants her, I'm still getting roughly an email/txt a day (had 3 today) but no one has even been to view it. Thought you might like abit of black! ;) Yeh I think I'll be buying some more tyre gel, I'm sure I will be going through it fairly quick.

I just fancy a change. I agree the red F1's look really good on pics, but living with them everyday is a bit different. These are my next option....

Fit my Turinis today as I was undecided if I was going to keep them on not. They certainly need a refurb but did come with decent tyres. The red Oz f1's are back on now and I think I prefer them over the Turinis.

Stunning work!

I've spent the last week in Kent, hired a cottage and have had a really good time, 95% of the time the weather was spot on. Some really good roads down there too, really enjoyed the run from Blean to Brighton through Ashford, Hastings etc. Stuck to legal speeds on the way down and over the 270...

Are they insurance group 8 as stated in the ad? Seems low.

In Hastings yesturday, had orange front wheels and silver rear.

Well I've got these, my red ones and some turinis that will be going for a refurb in the next couple of weeks. Think i've had 17 sets of wheels in the last two years though, think I've got a bit of a problem.

I do like the red ones but I think it is time for a change. They'll be up for sale fairly soon. It is still for sale and I get a txt/email about it most days, but no one has even viewed it. I won't be too upset if I keep it.

Picked these up yesturday, fully refurbed and ready for some rubber. Going away for a week so won't be going on just yet.

I can't believe that has been a year already, but I spent about 5 hours every week cleaning that car. Must have been 3 inch of wax on it. Hope this is the treatment she is still receiving!;)
