7J with an offset of 37 would be fine on a clio, so do I need spacers to compensate the half inch (12mm) or is the half inch added to both sides of the wheel meaning I'd just need 6mm spacers?

This question seems to come up an awful lot, think VTS/GTI should have it's own section on the forum. I'd have thought a traffic light grand prix between a modded saxo and an 1*2 would be very close and driver dependant. Over legal speed limits the 1*2 would pull away??

What spacers do you think would be needed on some 7.5 inch wheels with an offset of 37 to fit them to a Clio.
