you need the immobiliser code from Renault for your car and a clip machine, the plips in the link work fine have done around 10 of them since a customer of mine pointed them out saves people a fortune.

Plips new and uncoded on ebay for £20 or £30 each. We charge £45 to code them.

The chip holds all the coding , so doing what I have said will sort it. It allows use of a 2nd hand uch.

get a used one the same part number and type , open it up remove the surface mount chip its an 8 pin chip 93C**** on it if I remember correctly and swop it with your one. but you need to be good with a soldering iron and make sure you fit it correctly. I have done a few for local motor traders...

Does an aftermarket remap sort this out? RS Tuner one anygood? it driving me mad from cold in the morning.

No idea without pricing it up. Probably better to see if the leakage test is ok. May not even need it depending on mileage , I know the car drives fine (8
