I've never sorn'd mine. I drive it all year round, apart from when it snowed earlier in the year. I'd never take it out in snow.
I can see why folk do it etc, I don't have the need or the space for a 'winter car' though.
I've dug out the address (I couldn't see it- most probs too early as i'm a bit asleep)

Will see you all on Sunday for 3pm.
I remember a dude on here did it to his Mk2 Rsi he had a few probs with it, so went back to drums. I think it was Giles who was on here ages ago. He wrote a thread on it, it might be worth looking under his name for it.
I've only ever been in modded ones, but yes they do. As they are so close to the ground they really give the impression that when you open them up they are very fast, they are fast though (if that makes sense)
They VX's are fast as standard, but the owners mentioned that standard un re-mapped cars aren't that good (turbo lag etc) so most mod them. The stage 2 one I went in was 250bhp. Standard is 60 in 4.7 secs.
Edit, you'd need to go out in a VX tbh, great in the summer with the roof off imo, not...
I've been out in a stage 2 & a stage 4 VXT, the stage 4 (350bhp or so with the same torque fig) almost tore my face off, It was like going to Alton Towers, to say it was stupisly fast was an understatement ! They are nice, but tbh more of a summer car, i'd not want one in winter. If your not on...
Mk1 Focus RS too, or an ST, or a Meg R26 (I read that not another Renault, but they are nice)
For out right speed & handling the VX220 Turbo wins imo, they just lack a lot of stuff (otherwise i'd have got one a while ago)
If they aren't overly bad a dent dude will be able to remove them, he won't need to fill or paint anything. If you've got a local one, give him a bell.
It seems like the general consensus is 'had one once & never again' my current & last two cars have been blue.
I got itchy feet the other day & started looking at black vee's;)
I think that a wrap would have been so much better. I really hope that the car was a recorded silver car that they resprayed, if not they've ruined a nice car.
I have seen pics of an Acid mk1 vee, that looks nice. I don't know if it's a wrap or not though.
