aux belt idler bearing/alternator or clutch release bearing, it will be one of the I recon. You should be able to hear it with someone revving engine stationary while you listen under bonnet.

gearbox out time, new clutch and tell whoever does it to check carefully for any oil leaks, condition of release bearing guide on gearbox etc.

nope, aux belt off then you can get the bracket off which allows the cover to come off. No other way of doing it, its easy anyway so what the problem.

might be the seal from manifold to cat or as he said above.

Check the earth wire on the gearbox , 2 of them by the way. If not disconnect the UCH for a while. Otherwise its dealer or specialist with clip system to sort it.

Did the original box have a sped sensor hole in it at the back of the diff? Thats your problem if your new one dont. Sat nav speed display or Origin B2 will do for speedo.

Get the injectors tested, have changed loads. Its also worth getting the pump checked as they fail internally.
