Breakfast meet: The Hare, Roxwell. 06.05.17 - 8:30am

Some good photos there. Will post some of my own later. Ended up parked next to a 488 all morning. Felt a little bit out of place.

    Chris's 172 Cup Turbo

Took a photo of the old girl on my new camera at the weekend, did a bit of editing. No new plans for car at the moment. Loving it as it is.

Looking for a clio Turbo am i making the right decision ? Meg content

I'd have to disagree with @ForcedIndia, I see the logic behind what your saying however owning a boosted Clio isn't the ball ache it's made out to be. People don't post on forums moaning that their cars are working well - only when they're broken. Mines had the ED kit on it since December 2015...

Why are my photos so dark?

Personally I prefer the darker photos.

    Successful turbo conversions

Perhaps, however I was under the impression your mpg reading will be way out because of the larger injectors. Mine reads 38 too but that's sure as hell not what I get when I add it up myself.

    Successful turbo conversions

I believe so. Mine seems to run very rich. Is there anything I can get to help improve mpg then?

    Successful turbo conversions

Not really. I'd say I'm pretty relaxed driving it these days. It's always been really bad on fuel. Hence why I now daily a DCI. I assumed 250 miles to a tank or a little more was normal from speaking to a few others

    Successful turbo conversions

Actual mpg on the ED kit is more like 26/27. Works out at about 250miles to a tank on average for me.

    Successful turbo conversions

As above I wouldn't go any higher than 250bhp if you want reliability. I've seen a few clios running that or above that eat gearboxes and constantly seem have issues - if the moaning Facebook statuses are anything to go by. I've been running low boost 230bhp/235lbft for about 14 months now and...

    Chris's 172 Cup Turbo

I've noticed more feedback or vibration through the wheel on rougher roads but just as smooth of a ride on newer ones. Sometimes they can feel more crashy / bouncy on more challenging b roads but I think that's just because they're firmer. Personally I like them as my cars just a toy I use at...

What do people reckon on using stainless steel bolts for the engine mounts etc? Just want to replace a few under the engine bay as it's looking a little tired.

    Chris's 172 Cup Turbo

Fitted the Grams springs from Kam Racing today... initial impressions are really good. They've dropped the car a little more and handle really nicely. I've had Cooksports before on my old Cup so decided to try something different but i'd liken them to Cooksports in terms of ride/handling. The...

Grams lowering springs ordered today... should have them on this weekend. I'll get before and after photos seeing as there's virtually none I can find for anyone else considering them. Can't wait

    Chris's 172 Cup Turbo

Yes @BoostedSi, wheels fit but there's less than 4mm clearance. Wheels are ET43 and i'm running 280mm discs with 10mm spacers. I'm pretty sure the 4 pots have had some machining down to fit. Not up until now @imprezaworks , just had a look. Current Eibach Pro's state a 15mm drop and these are...

So a few updates on the car, it's still going well. Passed MOT with no advisories last month.. happy days! Everything is going well with the turbo kit but the clutch started to slip really badly so i've had a Helix Organic clutch fitted by ED which is actually really nice to drive.. it handles...
