Put a couple extra psi in over the OEM requirement (when cold, obviously) and see how it feels after a few hundred miles.. you'll need to get them worn in a bit before they might feel a bit better.

There's 15 2.0s on autotrader under £4k at the moment.
Engine swaps were borderline pointless 10 years ago when 2.0s were still £5k+ as you'd still need to change most of the cars electrics and underbody to get it to work properly.
Now you can get them...
If someone really wants it, they'll take it.
If that means coming thru your bedroom door at 3am demanding the keys, they'll do it.
It's a car, it's insured.. on the microscopic chance someone wants your car, let them have it. I'd rather my car disappeared in the night than someone fcuked it...

Are you handy / Got any handy mates..? New (second hand) engines are about £2-300 if it went bang and you wanted to keep it.
