Piece of box section from the strut brace to the back of the broken mount seems to have it held fairly steady. Not looking forward to the drive home later
Merry Xmas from the cup.
Chucked it back on stock inlets because nothing arrived on time, thought at least it'll be nice and reliable for the Xmas journey to the Midlands.
Jokes on me.
Gearbox earth straps are getting old.and very ratty on 172s now, easy way to check is run a spare battery negative cable to the engine house bracket and see if it sorts it.
On that
I thought about doing the same but mine was quite springy, have had to tighten it up once but it's now loctited, seems to have done the job.
It does sound good but tbh if you'd put it on front of me and asked the manufacturer I would have said £250 eBay random.
Pms stuff really isn't what it was. The welds look gash . It's nice and quiet but the build quality is shocking compared to what it was a few years ago.
Went off to the shop today and the exhaust was rattling and squeaking badly enough I couldn't hear myself think.
Looked under and the mount...
Fitted the pms exhaust today. They've changed a fair bit since I last had one, quality has gone down imo.
Took some great pictures definitely wasn't annoyed with the cat to manifold being a pain in the bum on these and forgot 🙄🙄
