They are worth the money if you like/prefer N/A compared to boost. Fitting a decent set of uprated Camshafts will compliment them nicely, just don't go for a too wild cam as it will affect drivability.
ITB's are very reliable if you don't go silly with the Rev limit, and with a decent set of...
The only thing I notice is that if I put 95ron in the fuel consumption is noticeably different whereas with 98ron that's recommended seems fine, not sure about power or anything, just seems to drink more.
As Simon16v says, I thought this when I bought mine. I changed the Cambelt and all bearings (inc dephaser) and complete Aux belt kit and its never changed. I changed them because they were due but the noise stayed anyway. I'm sure its the power steering setup that's noisy.
oh dear, i was nearly taking mine back off after a trip around the block haha. Cant think why yours would sound tinny though, they normally deepen with age in my experience
How long have you had it fitted, mine sounded crap for about 10 minutes then the note changed completely, not sure if there was a wax or resin in the baffles that bedded in.
Doesn't sound right at all mate, the only thing you should notice with a new clutch is that the pedal is lighter than before and the bite point 'may' be a bit lower (auto adjustment anyway). Clio clutches get quite heavy/stiff with age but not from new, and as for bedding the new clutch in, you...
If the pump isn't cutting in but it has got gas in the system then there are a few thing it can be. Firstly did you jump the pressure switch connections and the pump cut in?
Have you check the feed to the A/C pump and check the live feed wire hasn't broken? Have you checked the fuse for the A/C...
I got my inferno 182 for £1600, needed tax and belts change and alloy wheel refurb all of which I did myself. Now its pretty mint. You will find a bargain if you keep your eye out, but don't go to a viewing expecting any of them to be perfect ;)
A faulty brake pedal switch can cause the lights to come on the dash but they wont affect the operation of the ABS or make the abs kick in at low speed, that's normally the reluctor rings cracked that do that, have you check all of the abs rings, why did you replace 2?
I had this issue on mine. I managed to trace it to a wiring fault under the fusebox in the engine bay after much diagnosis. It was putting my car into limp home mode and throwing up a code for the throttle pedal potentiometer circuit and the light was coming on more regular over time (3-4 times...
I had this issue, I Just decided to refurb them myself in a slightly darker colour and im very happy with the results :) Ive put 2 pics of mine in to give you some ideas to think about.
I don't remove the rack from the car, normally im working away underneath and while im there I zip them undone (most cars are 2 or 4 bolts which can be easily accessed and undone with an air gun), easier for me I suppose as that's how I have always done it,
Plus when I was an apprentice I...
Get the pinch bolt undone asap as its better than risking breaking it, jack the sub frame back up aswell while you do this, putting too much strain on the column will damage it and cost you £££.
However I always undo the rack bolts on the subframe on any gearbox that requires the subframe to...
Decided that since I have gone to the effort of DIY re-furbing my alloys I should make some more effort on the bodywork, and today was the day
Just thought id post a vague run down of the major steps I did when cleaning it (although the door shuts and petrol flap inners were all cleaned...
