Re: "Mechanically Inept" Dave.'s TDF'd ITB & Cammed 182
Oh Dave, see that's why I don't feck around with anything mechanical. Lol
Funnily enough, mine is leaking in exactly the same place. Keeps pooling near the furthest left ht lead.
Hope so too mate! Like you, my funds are diminished after indulging on the trumpets!
Yep mine is daily driven, about 57k on the clock. Would be a slightly easier drive it it was raised a bit from its current rather low stance on 2118's - however it looks cool and I have no problems holding up...
Re: Project 172k Trophy, & its endless track abuse
My waterpump made a really strange rattly/ whirring noise, most evident on tickover when it was on it's deathbed. Might be worth mentioning to Tom as you say.
Kam Racing I believe are a little cheaper.

Awesome, an ITB'd Trophy. Was wondering if you were going to take the plunge and get a few more horses under the bonnet.
Have been running ITB's since January, and am loving them.
What's the news with the interior repairs/ refresh Andy?
I had to bend the metal clips slighty when I did mine as the pads that Fred supplied had a metal backing plate which meant the clip wouldn't reach round the side of the pad initially.
I had the top part of the clip between the carrier and the 'ear' on the pad
Someone had an awesome retrim on their 197 interior, put pics up in the week. I'll see if I can find the thread now Andy.

Throw money at that company!
That's quite scary, I was going to start a topic in here after we were speaking at the meet.
I'm well up for it, although the early start is gonna be a killer!
Re: Dave.'s Trumpeted Engine Spec, Cammed Up Gunit, 2118'd Carbon Vagina Boob obsessi
Schweet.
Tell me my internet friend, how much of a pain was it to paint your rocker cover. Mine is desperate for some paintage.
Remap, as you intimated, will not gain you 30bhp.
A couple of options really, both TDF (Cambridge) and RS Tuning (Leeds) have good reputations and are no bullshit when it comes to remapping. Or you could go the diy route and get a Rs Tuner to plug in and install a pre written map yourself.
My...
Would like to get mine painted ideally, but wouldn't know where to stop- front and rear bumper, bonnet, rear arches etc. To be fair, mine would probably look better if I got the 3 tons of tar off it that the local roadworks have abstractly splattered on it.
