But the cost to buy and run a 172 will cost about the same as modifying a 1.2.
I don't know how old op is, so buying a 172 may not be viable. But the general consensus is making a rep is a wasted venture.

Yeah, rattle can it, or paint the scuffs by hand until the paint is the same level as the surrounding paint.
Then Sand the sprayed area back with fine grade wet and dry. (P1000 all the way up to p3000)
Then polish it after it's been sanded.
That will 115% need paint. But, it can be reduced with a machine polisher and glaze. Not removed, just reduced.
