You will be amazed how much you can move and from memory isn't waitey reasonably tall
Look at this pic , you can get closer than you think
And it's not a debate it was some friendly advice to help stop someone getting a brain injury
For 30 or 40 quid I'd rather someone told me (my cage...
The above is spot on.
You only need 3 lengths , the 2 outside bars and the rear inner triangulation (1 piece cut in half does both sides.
You can see them in the below pics
Also the half doors I had made a huge difference from wind buffeting and getting crap off the road into your lap...
@Waitey
When it's in can you do me a favour and take off what looks like pipe lagging and fit proper FIA density foam.
You have no idea helmet or not how bad just having pipe lagging is.
Having seen the damage to a skull I'd feel happier .
A length of the right stuff will cost you 20 quid...
I know
Guess who has his Clio ;-)
It spent most of its time garaged as he lived abroad so when I bought it ,39k was the mileage

I speced a build to the spec of my old car last year for someone
35k ish , just in kit and parts .
I'd go back to a caterham
@Waitey I was the man behind the caged cages when Phil and I first sorted them
Lots of bitching at the time within wscc about it and Westfield themselves , then...
The 30psi dropping to 20 does not sound right
I would expect a 2 to 4 psi increase on a tyre like an 888
10 psi is akin to a tyre not designed for track work with large amounts of tread movement the 888 is a track tyre

What's the point in that as you have to cut it with an open throttle and you will borewash the s**t out of it and the bottom end will last about 5 minutes

You think that's useful ?
You won't get flames unless you're dumping fuel into the exhaust with a closed throttle
A car with injection on a closed throttle won't do that unless you map it to do so hence the earlier advice
Now do you understand ?
You do also need the exhaust to be straight...
find out the optimum pressure , and work to that end of , get start pressures out of your head , its the hot running temp/pressure thats really important .
Once you know this you can work out how long you can run for and how hard before they tip over this ,
then either back off for a lap or...
Pah , flames don't get you in trouble !!
I had years of it , though did make me worry at night as it would catch my attention , that and trying not to set grass verges alight !!
Any brand of fuel , you just need to be running big power on carbs  (turbo cars are way easier to do it on )
Carbon bits look up mog Motorsport
Steering wheel .... Mono
No idea why the wheels are a long lead time
And my carbon rear arches i had , Westfield threatened to sue the supplier so only 3 sets were ever made
God knows why

I don't overly agree with the opinion on road tyres , heat in the compound needs to be managed and over inflation with increase heat on a smaller contact patch which in turn overheats the rubber and overheated rubber turns to jelly
Run a set of wets/ inters on a drying track and see what...
My first thoughts would be
New cup shocks
Standard springs
Rear arb
Adjust front camber to -2.5
A touch of toe out maybe 10 mins total
30psi hot on the tyres
And then see where you are
Springs control how fast each individual wheel moves up and down and front, rear weight transfer...
Never EVER set track tyre temps cold , they will change depending on track temp for starters. look at body roll , whilst you can use springs to counter this thats not the way you should be doing it .
Do you run a rear anti roll bar ? and a front anti roll bar thats stiffer/adjustable would be...
My first attempt at eau rouge was 1989
Roads had to be shut as it wasn't a permanent circuit at that time .
Food fight at dinner with Chris Rea that year .
Not sure since that first time how many laps of spa i have done but it's been maybe 15 days there
Bovingdon lifted at the second Apex...
No that's not a silly price for a decent can
Lots of poor quality welds on cheaper stuff
Used to be cheaper than they are but a decent 7 inch can not a 6 which are just cheap and noisy
