Your going about this the wrong way. Suspension is a vital part of a car, you do not want cheap, period. It just so happens these were FK, so was a good shot.
Your squirming over £40 between the two springs, really ? Forty pounds..
You've definitely had some use out of it, a very wise decision to move on and you'll even get a fair bit of buck back splitting !
Any plans for the next track monster ?
Really ? Deffo a CAT D - Look at the suspension and quarters, they *look* fine.
Only a rear panel and roof that is bad.
Would be a great track-car, or even road car, although you'd want to spend a bit more money on it for road use.
Masking plastics is mandatory.
Masking panel gaps doesn't stop polish getting stuck in-between panels though ?! You should only get dust in-between panels anyway, polish should be worked in before you get to the edges.
Just be light when you get to edge, and brush over them with the machine. Keep the machine flat to the paint, if you move the angle towards the wheel on the wheel arch, you'll catch the edge.
Panel to panel, people work differently, if one panel is slightly higher than the other (bad repair)...
Looks a cracking buy.
It's not like it's a historic car and they are a dying breed. Wack a cage in it, paint the wheels yellow, it's your car !
I can see what people are saying but lets be honest, they're not that special.
