Ah, I was not aware of that.
So can you get 6" and lower backing plates with an m14 thread then?
surely though, the backing plate can spin at 10,000 rpm safely, as it says on the back of it?
Menzerna iirc have a discounted bulk buy on their polishes. 5 or so 250ml bottles for £38ish. Check the detailing chat and questions thread for the link
A bloke at work bought a silverline rotary which has an m14 thread, so the backing plates are massive. I made this to fit a regular and small backing plate
It's a bit rough as I had to do it quickly around work
I bought a few big plastic boxes from ikea to keep all my stuff in.
Saw some similar ones for cheaper the other day. I can find out which shop they were in if you like?
How long is the 5/16" thread on the backing plates for das6/Meg's g220?
i forgot to measure it last night, if anyone has one to hand can you quickly measure please
As above, read both the rotary and DA guides.
I found the AF combos to be a little mild anyway. At least on renault paint and non oem paint.
If the number 2 combo isn't cutting how you want, move to number 1, if that doesn't work, switch to a coarser polish/pad combo.
