Is the 10,000 rpm on the backing plate incorrect? (It is from Korea and I did think it should've been in opm)

Ah, I was not aware of that. So can you get 6" and lower backing plates with an m14 thread then? surely though, the backing plate can spin at 10,000 rpm safely, as it says on the back of it?

Auto finesse just told me to run them under warm water and massage the dried polish out of them. Then leave them to air dry

That may be where I went wrong. Applying via my g220 replica. I've since switched to das6 pro but not had to tackle heavily marred paint yet.

As above, read both the rotary and DA guides. I found the AF combos to be a little mild anyway. At least on renault paint and non oem paint. If the number 2 combo isn't cutting how you want, move to number 1, if that doesn't work, switch to a coarser polish/pad combo.

Get some easy outs. Drill into the centre of it then unscrew it with a big ass easy out
