ok look at this it is in the circle and it is a whole part
the upper bearing is on it
but the bearing which is under it is not there in the picture
there must be a renault number on it if you look at that we can match it
because there are lots of versions of it
i am driving the car for know because we opened 6 times the gearbox but cant fix the little ticky sound on idle
we think it ws from input shaft and may be its lower bearing
we check it on cnc and turned the input shaft 2000 tr/min
there was a %4-5 shaking on comperator
if you check yours may be...
i have paid 400£ only for revision
in turkey the parts are very expensive
and you cant find the spare parts or rs
may be only 50 172's are in turkey
we cant find a second hand input shaft:(
i have made a revision to my gearbox
i had problem in 2. gear and there was blanks betwween the gears
we solved all of this problems but there is a still ticky sound on idle
although we opened it 6 times we couldnt solve it
we thing the problem is input shaft but not sure

my mechanic said it can be the input shaft
we make a test and put the input shaft in a machine and turned it 2000...
my rear gear light dont work and the bulb is fine
i repair my gearbox and after that it appears
probably it is the rear gear sensor
how can i change it

if they do not do it carrefully the streering whell turns a little:(

so in 420s thereare two values is it 269/256 and 231/219
my kentcams are 260/258 so the original ones must be 231/219, am i wright?
