Took the day off last Friday and took the car for its MOt'd again, passed with no advisories so in celebration have booked the 31st at Oulton Park
Driving to/from the garage showed up a really annoying vibration on the passenger side which is impressive considering how noisy it is to...
Cars back together, driveshafts in, a few things tidied up and mot booked for tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed I can use the damn thing again after tomorrow. I want to try out 300bhp per ton in anger :smilingimp:
Mines now working but is a 225 swap with gearbox and Megane electronics. Had a fair bit of grief getting working but it was all down to a shite flywheel off eBay with the wrong trigger pattern that's still being sold as suitable for 225s. Mapped by Rs tuning to 275bhp, left rich at the top end...
Picked these up on Friday
Custom shafts made by berrisfords, proper grade of steel and heat treated for good measure. A lot happier with these than the welded shafts.

Waiting on new drive shafts being made after it snapped the drivers one on the way back from RS tuning last week. I'm usually working on them most weekends so feel free to come and have a look.
Cup went well but wasn't overly impressed with it. Chucked my spare CL 5+ pads on but couldn't get used to the overly assisted braking compared to the turbo. Also suspension and seat felt sooooo soft. That aside it took a kicking all day from me and my dad and didn't go wrong
So today got...
Despite not being able to take the turbo still had a good day at Oulton. Swapped my Toyo R1R wheels over onto the cup and took the AD08's along as well.
Not to busy but too many race cars testing in my opinion so everytime you're having a good run you've having to get out of the way of a...
Clio shafts and Megane shafts are different diameters so can't sleeve easily. Just going to get some proper ones made. Intend on pulling them out this weekend then dropping them off to be copied. Hopefully, how many times have I said that over the last 6 months.... it'll be up and running in a...
Tried contacting Techniclutch and no response which seems typical according to Google. I'm going to stick a small court claim in against them as Paul told them the kit was wrong and they're still selling it for the R26. Cost me a blown engine, about 3 engine swaps worth of labour, abandoned...
Well last week we had mapping attempt number 2 at RS tuning. Whilst the car was idling well it was keeping high revs coming off the throttle and Paul didn't like it. During conversation mentioned the single mass flywheel and after a brief discussion around it being a techniclutch flywheel off...
Got a CTEK trickle charger and conditioner to keep the battery topped up.
Added connector behind the passenger seat so the charger just plugs in to the electrical system.
Did some CAD design ala project binky. Need a cover for the fuse box so made a cardboard template. Get it made up in aluminium tomorrow
Last thing was starting a pedal stop for the clutch pedal. Chopped a piece out of a spare subframe. Needs tidying up and bolting to side of pedal box
Had a day off as the madness at work has temporarily ended before starting up again shortly. Been working on getting both Clios ready for Oulton and sorting out the 1 series for when it goes hopefully tomorrow.
Clio turbo started smelling of fuel badly a couple of days ago and found a puddle of...
