i have done my best to stay out josh but work is light this afternoon,
i don't miss the you must be cheating comments in parc ferme but would love to get another couple of seasons in before i am like tony and need an annual medical ;)
it does show how cynical people are Sam .... and i see it as getting everything spot on to get the best out of what you have within the rules and your budget ..... its not cheating but lots see it as thus if the budget is bigger than theirs.
i have no input , as i am racing other non motorised...
there are always ways within the rules to be faster , people will do them , its racing and therefore a fact of life, but it does not make you a cheat.
there are always the top people in every championship , and i'd stake my christmas dinner on the fact they know things the guys further down...
i raced for years in a sealed engine class where every engine was the same ..................... yeah of course they were LOL it became an absolute money pit
of course people will try and spend and sort cars to have the best they possibly can .... most of clio cup is tied down so tight in the...
i tried to look at youtube a short while ago to see if it was on there but it does not seem to be (pretty surprised actually) ...... i have heard some numpty answers when they did the clasroom stuff before watching the dvd pre test though .....
far better doing some time with someone like tony at a track day and then doing just the basic test ..... , looking at those prices it looks expensive nowadays , i would say the half day is the basic , classroom for an hour , sit written , and then an hour in a car including the test ...
depends how much track experience you have ? did my first ards 7 years ago as i had let my circuit licence lapse so i had to do it .... i just did the hour and the test , but then to be fair when my examinor walked out to collect me i did wonder if i should say anything and swap with someone...
lots of club racers get really arsy over people that go for the gap and it just deteriorates into parc ferme arguments .... its just a pain in the arse.
one of the reasons i stopped circuit racing was people having issues with stuff like that and whinning to the clerk every 5 mins ...... went into national rotax max where if you didn't do it someone would fire you .....
have had some epic first lap bandit moments after i learnt the ropes back...
standard move ......... pug dispatched himself LOL
thats a normal midfield first corner move to make a few places if you can get away with it as clean as that but it does as i have found print a target on your back later on .
sitting back and watching this ..........................
if only i wasn't committed to race a boat for the next 18 ,months i have the perfect clio to sort sitting here and a current licence ....
oh and tony surprised you had the 2 lifts ;) even if the tyres were cold would have stopped...

i have a quiet stealth ktec thats no different to normal , and am over 21 ..........
surrey based but depending where you are could meet at something like clacket services if your really desperate to hear one .
in fact my volvo is the only car we have that does not have a stainless exhaust...
we have a Ktec quiet stealth , they do 2 sorts , its quiet (as quiet as the standard from what i have driven , been on the car 18 months and is still quiet .
i get more pissed off at the s**t renault exhaust hangers , so have just got a prima racing one to fit .
Please explain why your back wheels rotate in a different direction to your fronts .. ?
You will also put more worn tyres on the rear compared to the front when you swap front to rear , another poor idea .
You can set up a factory stock westfield to be ok on track but not great just sorting the geo .... brakes are completely fine with a decent pad ... spring rates are the biggest game changer along with a track tyre
Caterhams and westfields feel so different on track its amazing
hence our mainly ( 99%) road clio has , and exhaust (and a quiet one at that) because the old one had rotted , cooksport springs , and some spacers , other than that its rebuilt standard and all works without any creaks or rattles.
i have built cars that become so modified you just stop...
