Its harsh ... but I am sure you will learn from it . The insurance co appear to have made the right descion .... mine took a year and I won 100% ... I had a woman turn left down exit 1 from the r/h lane .
Most roundabouts go 50/50
An assumption here .... you were in the left lane .. but did not want to leave till exit 3 ......
I have a huge amount of experience with this when someone did similar to me ... if what I said above is correct then I would not waste your money in court
2 bolts on one side were not ... the "c" word was used a few times I can tell you .
Lets hope it handles well .... only other poss mod is a rear arb ....
And this is all for a car that wasn't really to be tracked ..... god help me
Got up early this morn and was in the workshop at 7 ... much thought and a drill shattered in my face (always wear eye protectiong chaps I was lucky and only got a cut face )
Got it all sorted ... feels ok on a short test drive but think one of my nes top mounts is squeaking grrrrrrrr
well a thanks to Dan for a rapid delivery on the spacers ..... one side done fairly easy , however its all gone a bit pete on the o/s ......
needless to say the drill is flat for drilling the heads off the bolts which are totally and utterly seized ..... even with the gun on them (yes i have...
our 172 cup clutch isn't heavy at all ....... what you need is a new clutch cable not a clutch , was the same problem with the old 5 turbo's and eventually they snap ..... nothing to do with the clutch itself though .
yep going to stick 15mm on the rear not the front ....
and yes i had -4 on the nsf and -3 on the osf when i took it in , and i knew it had more than 2.5 on looking at it (and driving it )
shame ,were they bolt to hub hubcentrics though?
mine are on order now , expensive to go the bolt on route but worth it i think .
mine at the front now looks like this
my geo setup when i took it to get it set up the morning was -4 , on the ns , felt great into roundabouts LOL alas that would kill tyres on a road car in no time
Fk are sending me a set of 15mm hubcentric bolt ons , thats the smallest bolt ons you can do , and i think 15mm for the rear with...
think i have got it sussed , going to add 15mm spacers per side on the rear ..... -2.5 on the front , -1.5 on the rear , just done the geo and got that setup , and will just get rear hubcentric's
rebuilt the front corners again last night with camber bolts, spacers (20mm each side) and new cup shocks , with lovely new topmounts ....
off to set it up on a 4 wheel in a bit but the rear has -1.33 and -1.35 (just over -1.5 degrees unless i am going mental as there are 60 mins in a degree)...
you will be amazed when i learn something ,that i didn't consider .....
why i use driver coaching when racing , though i have not been in a seat for over 2 years now ......
walking a track really is useful for that sort of knowledge !!
not something you can do on trackdays which alot of...
the right place to be ;) .....loads more grip in the wet there
was some nice driving , good to see someone putting a car in the right place imho in the wet ....
As I said early on its what the speed and Situation is when they go ... standing start the clio will win ... rolling even a bora the field levels alot more
we were talking straight line speed here not track times , and there was a claim that a clio would beat an e350 or e320 to 100mph ..... it won't .
a 120d does not have a very high top speed compaired to the mercs so thinking about it i take that back ..... but an e350 will blow a clio into the...
How ... why would any merc race you ... they are quicker its fact
And I didnt compare the audi to the clio I was talking about the audi vs the merc
Over 70mph the massive torque of most reasonably quick diesels will walk away ......and fwiw try racing a 120d 1series if you want to use...
in summary as i said before you beating an e350 to 100 proves they were changing the radio station and opening a boiled sweet while the beads of sweat rolled down your brow ...... they simply were not using the loud pedal to its full extent.
and think about it ,when is an e350 driver even...
That did raise an eyebrow with me .... just on the shifts alone my e280 (same 3.0) was blistering to 100 ....
I seriously dont think people realise how powerful and quick some diesels are.
For reference e350 to 100 is 14.5 evo tested a 182 and got 17.5 .... and you go a long way in 3 seconds...
