Mine is booked in at rs tuning on nov 23rd for a remap so we will see if the turkish delight inlet does anything going by dans results so far its not looking good but iam a leeds fan so iam forever optimistic.......amd used to seeing overpiced shite fail.
Thanks for taking the time to do this dan, to be fair torque is what i was after not a headline bhp figure so if the inlet improves that it wont be a total loss. Going to book mine in at rs tomorrow for 3rd week in november. So when i have results i will put them up.
Thats pretty s**t just potentially wasted £850 to make my car slower..... i still think iam going to get it mapped anyway and just see if i can get any sort of improvement. The inlet in staying on now as its only a track car. Not exactly impressed with the rs2 results to be fair as well idont...
Ok got mine bolted on and running had a misfire issue which i discovered was a cheap crap map sensor that i bought from ebay. Put a genuine one on and its all good. Initial thoughts are that it definatly pulls from lower in the rev range and seems to have a lot smoother power deliverly across...
Hang on a minute everyone is slagging this off i was one of the so called unfortunate people who bought this we all know its been a f**k up on the packaging and communtion but as for the product its good quality aside from the holes that needed drilling out, not really a big deal and until...
Yes the turk is the reason iam asking about the plate i think i actually have been sent the right one if the phase 2 is the same as the phase 1. Anyone got a pic of a 182 larger breather plate?
I think the problem is that we would have bought the RS2 inlet but the guy isnt answering emails on the website so it looks like its not happening. And i hardly think we bought cheap! It looked a good product from the pictures and you can see a lot of work has gone into it with the cnc...
Iam no engine tuner, but there is a chance the car could have been and is still quite a bit overfueled so although the airflow has no doubt been increased its not enough to counteract the overfueling. Also the air sensors have been relocated into a different shaped inlet/plenum as these also...
Doesnt it depend how rich it was and is running. Changing the inlet wont do anything but increase the airflow so there still could be a chance it needs leaning out so as to get a better mixture?
Personaly i would like my money back but lets be honest thats not going to happen we all bought this because it looked well made and a decent bit of kit. Turns out it isnt what we all hoped for. But he never promised anything or any massive gains so to be fair to him we havent got a reason to...
Where are they leaking from? Is it where they are connected to the plenum? Also i assume the connection on the left hand side as you look at it is the carbon canister connection and the other is the brake booster as thats how i was going to plumb it in.
1.7 bhp not a great result but if its not mapped its to be expected. If you put itbs on and didnt map it you would probably get the same power. There is no doubt the engine is getting a lot more air in a lot quicker than before just simply down to the more direct route if the fueling hasnt been...
