they give you a wider track so lower the centre of gravity i believe thus improving handling , I doubt you would notice a massive difference though.

Either buy 16" turnis , 16" 182 alloys or renault turbines, Personally i think these are the only wheels that look good on a standard car, 17s will look way to big, If you plan to lower you could go down the rota / 3sdm / bbs / splits route but it will cost you alot to be able to pull them off...
