I just bought a ph2 172 cup, £950, Just had cambelt done, Has the same issue with the clunking noise, Apparently its the top gearbox mount, I need a couple of bits respraying on it due to vandalism form the pervious owner, Bonnet, front bumper and roof then its perfect. I would say you may have...
I resorted to a sledge hammer on an old ford ranger pick up, still couldnt get it off, I found if you loosen the bolts and lower the car onto the wheel is sometime loosens off the hub.
It was next to dans phase 1 172, I dont think its raised, i think the rest of the stand was renaultsports and lowered clios so it just high as it was on standard springs.

I wouldn't bother with a v6 bodykit as they generally end badly, Maybe think of a remap? you can get a few extra BHP, better torque and slightly more MPG ;). Welcome anyway :)
