Looking good! the steering wheel stripes always f**k with my OCD too, the Twingo was the same! on LHD cars the stripes on the bonnet and roof match the ones on the top of the steering wheel but on RHD cars it looks odd! once you have seen it you cannot un-see it!
Battery is on its way out or earth strip, will be one of those 2.
Take a jump lead from the negative battery terminal to a good solid metal bit of the body shell and try and start it, if it starts fine then it's an earth strap somewhere that's corroded or broken.
If not then it's the battery...
Local scrappy got a white dci in for breaking, went and had a look as my front bumper had a load of scuffs on it!
Mine looks like this...

Identical on my diesel one, only difference was it was missing the hole for the lower gearbox mount.
Just check to confirm the above incase the 1.2 one isn't as thick, regardless I'm sure if it's thiner then it will be lighter!!
Diesel one is definitely ok as that's what I run and the wide...
as above loose weight from it and Track tuition.
The video comes to mind from back in the day of the 182 trying to keep up with Fred@BTM in his 1.2 16v Clio on the sprint track and struggling
EDIT:
Why do people find it so hard to accept that different specs go to different countries.
They will have been imported over then Renault AUS will have fitted the extra bits at import centre like all the UK cars got here with the alarm, window etching and locking wheel nuts.
There was the...
