Get a piece of sturdy cardboard and slide it under the 'diamond' and then just tease them out.
If the 'diamond' section comes out separately, try doing it from a different angle.

Nope, they're metal trims but the exhaust is about an inch inside of each trim, like you said.
I quite like the satin wheels but they're a nightmare to keep clean, being satin. They even streak if you don't dry them off. Ugh.
Yeah, that's why I'm going for the Eibachs over the H&R springs. Mind you, the Cup chassis is pretty hard anyway, much firmer than the Cup chassis 182... so a little bit more won't be bad.
My mate's an RTE so warranty is never an issue for me. lol.
