Had a very successful Micks Monster Burger meet up last night. A massive massive thank you to everyone that made it, it was good to see we can still pull the number together for the area . Keep your eyes out for the next one ;)
Wales 2015.
Went up to Wales with some of the other SC guys. Had an amazing time and a lot of fun. Car was utterly impossible to fault..... Iv come to the conclusion it doesn't need anything more done to it (other then refreshing what is already there) The work done by @Dan@SJM really came in...
Following on form this last year http://www.cliosport.net/threads/wales-trip-2014.739322/ Some of us guys on the South Coast decided we would do another trip into Wales for some epic roads this year. Again the weekend was planned by @Tim. with some altercations to the route. Cheers again mate...
You really have to work on it that's for sure. Im usually doing the full 100% Practice and Qualifying to stand a chance of keeping up with the opponents at 90%
I got the wheels powder coated by the chap in Bristol who charges £80 a set Paul. He couldn't do the caps as it would require a wet paint that he didn't do as part of the service.
Got another small job sorted this week. Matching the centre caps with the refurbished alloys i had done last August. Took the alloys down to Express Paints in Portsmouth to get a can matched up and some lacquer. It came to £16 so in total the whole refurb cost me £96 !!! The match isn't 100% but...
Iv had to turn the steering assist on for the controller, im all over the place if not. Opponent difficulty is up to 90%.
In the Clio Cup Champ i qualified 5th at Donnington and placed 4th on the first race and 9th in the second after the mechanic 'fumbled' a nut in the pits !!!!
I had RC5's with some Dot5 fluid. Was an amazing setup, So confident and very very good stopping power. You couldn't rest on the pedal though you had to hit it hard for them to bite..... It caught me out a couple of times.
It would't be to hard to make a mount up using the original battery tray/engine mount metal.
A few people have mounted it to the ECU brace that runs down from the ECU to behind the headlight.
All the times iv been out i have never had a problem, only slight bit of trouble i had was with a R26r that would move over. As long as you competent and patient its quite enjoyable with the different mix of cars and talents.
