Could of yea, but a quick wipe over with some white spirit will achieve the same as taking it off. Took no longer to mask it off. Only sprayed the bits that you would see with the engine cover on, wasn't to bothered about taking it off and making it look 100%

Na its iceberg as Halfords didn't do titanium. Just needs scrubbing off the plastics that caught a little bit and it will be sweet :)

Yea side mounts directly to the seat. You could put a washer in place if the bolts were too big but if they came with the seat then they will be fine.
