4K in a year on maintenance isn't actually that much in the grand scheme of things.
I've probably spent between 2 and three thousand in the last year so for an Aston that's not a huge jump to make!
22mpg sounds pretty bad, but in reality if you aren't using the car much, it's quite manageable.
it costs me maybe a pound extra in fuel to do the journey to the girlfriends as opposed to doing it in the Clio.
Estates really are the way forwards, not sure I could live with a hatchback these days.
Saw this pop up on Facebook the other day. Would have been an awesome car, and a much better option than the 3.2
The 2.7T is an awesome engine, torquey as you like and smooth as anything.
At least the parts are available in the first place.
There's one company of note that supplies parts for mine. Anything specific tends to be dealer only unless you stumble across some one breaking one.

Everything since the 197 has been piss poor.
Renault as a company failed a long time ago. Does anyone realise just how much money they lose per year? Massively subsidised by the French government.
It is possible to change bulbs with the bumper on. When I was still a teenager I hadn't the faintest idea how to get the front bumper off, so I had to make do.
these days I'd find it much easier to just take the bumper off and pop the headlights out, but only because I've done it so many times.
God knows who you are but if the lad behind you in the micra wasn't your mate you have the patience of a saint.
Also... I got bored waiting up slack hill
