I turned all the aids off tonight and find it loads easier and better/more realistic so far. Not tried any of the mega high powered cars yet though...
Has anyone had a crack at the Brands Indy, Clio Cup CM yet? I've managed a 54.058 as above without ANY aids and using a controller. Will have...
Okay, 2 very tidy ones for 5.5k then!
If I had a spare 10k to splash out on a classic car (again you could argue that term is thrown around too much!) then no it wouldn't be going on a mk1 Clio for me!
Weren't the cups just limited by the amount of people that wanted to buy them? Like any other model! (other than the Trophy)
f**k paying 5.5k for one now. You could get 2 mint ones for that price....
@MarcR™ Sounds like you just need to give Chris and/or Paul a ring to get a definitive answer tbh.
Seems like an expensive exercise for the probable little to no gains even if you can get it done more locally imo.
I think you might be referring to my car when I had the cams mapped at EFI. Iirc the issues mine had turned out to be a intermittent lambda sensor fault causing the dash light to come on whichever map he put on. This made it look like it wouldn't work correctly but I think a base map from...
Completely agree and that's what I did 2nd time round knowing more about them from here... Although though you still end up doing stuff lol.
I wouldn't change anything on mine so far. Could just do with a front end respray and an RS2 to go with the cams.
The same insurer usually put the premium up come renewal regardless of a bump or not lol....
My last years company was also happy to price match my best quote too (although they wanted proof of said quote). I really think people on here/the internet blow non fault claims out of proportion, even...
I completely disagree with you on that tbh.
After my accident at the end of last year plus having my cams fitted/mapped and declared my insurance cost a whole £10 more this year!
I don't know where people get the idea that there insurance will jump up for making a none fault claim?
Not saying you should go necessarily through them but if you do you shouldn't get stung come renewal.
Full fat or not all 182's came with cruise control and Xenons apart from the Cups but they'e only Inferno or Racing Blue.
Previous owner will have removed the washers as well as lowering etc...
@MarcR™
Scoff would be the better one to speak to for the finer details but I had a problem where the pre cat lambda was faulty but still showing a voltage. Whenever he put a base map on the ecu it kept throwing up the emissions light up so looked like it was an issue with the ecu/map...
