Thank you. I feel much better now knowing that this can be fixed.
From a 'technical' perspective, what has actually happened. By wet sanding it I've removed the defact, what actually happens when using the products above to bring to shine back?
Also, can I apply the above with a foam applicator?
Thanks for the advice so far. Any guides I can follow to get the best finish?
I'm not 100% sure it was burnt, but it looked it, and I can only assume it was from holding the hair dryer in one spot for too long. To make matters worse I feel like the new badge is ever so slightly wonky. All in...
Very quick background info, changed the RS badge on my 182 to the new 197 style and in the process caused 3 burn marks on the boot lid, very small, but they annoyed me. I managed to get them off by VERY lighting sanding the affected area with wet & dry fine sandpaper (don't shoot me if this was...
Hello,
I've had this rattle for months now and I am losing patience.
Symptoms:
- Rattle which sounds like a bolt in a tin cat being spun around
- Comes from underneath the gear lever area, so is definitely around the front end somewhere
- Only occurs under acceleration
- Doesn't occur when...
Well, I EVENTUALLY got them off, and I have fitted the new kit, however I had to use the old cups as they were not budging no matter how hard I hammered them.
The result, no difference what so ever. Any ideas what the rattling might be now then?
I am so gutted :(
Hurrah :)
Mine is filthy at the moment! The back end looks terrible as my girlfriend has my pressure washer :(
I didn't notice the exhaust wobbling at all. I do have a question though, is that an anti-roll bar you have attached underneath the car?
I don't even have the right spanners let alone a blow torch, hehe. Thanks for the tip though :)
I called Kwik Fit to see if they could do it quickly for me, but apparently they won't touch parts they don't supply themselves. I also called another garage and they said they would need to see it...
I had a go tonight but I couldn't get the bloody bolts undone, no matter what I did, it was just twisting the bolt round and round no matter what I tried. Now it's even more loose than before :(
What is the best way of getting it undone? Spanner on each end and then turn it? I only had one...
Hello,
How long should it take a mechanic to fit one of these - http://www.northwestperformance.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=6_7_86_19&products_id=20&osCsid=im63lfilphmlmka0gtfck456d6 ?
I would do it myself but I know I'll screw it up, plus I hate jacking cars up for fear of breaking...
I had a whine which turned out to be the PAS (power assisted steering) pump, thus was mainly audible when turning the wheel whilst stationery or at low speeds.
I made a video of it at the time, does this sound similar?
