but there is no battery in the cluster, ive had mine out and done an led conversion.... what the heck lol. maybe he could just get one from dismantler and just swap the lcd over
i had this problem actually, i found pulling the passenger airbag side off first makes it work and come out easy. if you pull the drivers side first, it gets stuck on something!
is it just on one side of the lcd screen? if it is then quite possibly one of the led's are failing. if its the whole dash cluster then it will be battery / power related.
since they are leds on the dash cluster, unless your good with soldering its a no go-er. i have done a dash conversion to...
good luck finding one that cheap, i didnt need a new one, but i enquired about one at a scrappy before i carried out the work (just in case) and most of them quoted me £70 for it. the smds are 3mm big, lol
so you need 4 http://www.crazyleds.co.uk/1-x-Blue-PLCC-2-3528-SMD.html for the dials and for the diigital display you need 4 http://www.crazyleds.co.uk/1-x-White-3-chip-PLCC-4-3528-SMD.html
The digital display is harder to solder as there are not just 2 connections but 4 each, an absolute t***...
that's correct yes! there is a good video on-line showing how to do it. i would say unless your fairly confident with a soldering iron, don't attempt it tho.
ive been meaning to do some for a while now, a few of the chaps on ere have helped me out alot. damn phone died tho, hate htc's there crappy warranty and customer service. might just have to steal the misses blackberry tonight lol
well depends what you want, switch lights (electric window switches etc) are fairly easy standard 3mm led bulbs.
the actual mph/rev dash depends which one you have, but they are all smd leds, very small, very tricky to put on unless you take ur time, can be done tho and involves use of a...
oh right well when i ordered the other day the renault chap said £75. lol. so broken seal lets oil in, or is that just a loosing coolant issue if that happens. we havnt removed the whole unit yet you see, curious to know!
This might be useful in the guides section or troubleshooting i don't know.
Basically, if you have slight oil in your coolant reservoir, floating at the top but no loss of power like a head gasket failure. chances are its the thermostat housing causing the issue. I found this out through an...
hmm im not so sure about that really, depends how much the window got previously winded up/down lol. probably best buying a new one, burt then if its from a low mileage car..... knowing me i probably wud get second hand lol. since passenger is less likely to have been used as well
when you press the button for the window, do you hear the motor and movement? if you do then check the clip as so:
you have to get the door panel off. 3 torq's on the bottom of door, then the handle and push the door open handle inwards-ish. there is also a small a frame-ish type platic part...
yer i would check it out, sounds like you need a new mechanism for it tho. i could be wrong. if you take that torq bolt out and get the lid up, you shud be able to get into it all and figure it out, might be lucky u never know
just had a look for you, there is a torque bolt in the back there that holds the latch in place. perhaps if you can undo that you can get the boot lid open.....
if its just the plastic clip that is broken, you can get them on ebay. thats whats happened to mine, but i cheap skated it and just stuck bluetack in. it still working now lmao.
good deal if the regulator is dead tho!
