if who ever mapped your car did so by removing the Eprom chip from the ecu, installed a map and then fitted either the same eprom chip (if its re writeable) or a new eprom they need shooting.
why would you "chip" a modern car when it can be mapped through the OBD2?
it makes no sense, unless...
nobody really fits just lowering springs anymore (apart from eibachs), budget coilovers are cheap so if you just want much lows then these are what you want to be looking at bud
from reading that statement i would recommend that you research pulse tuning, fluid's static and dynamic and friction factors. Exhaust design is not just as simple as that i am afraid.
i think most people in the thread agree with that, i am one of them. however i think the discussion has turned into gans vs cost. which is why i said what i did. after seeing the results of the RS2 fitted i have now decided against the purchase of this kit and i will be pushing the standard...
I know he has a 172 and I have a 182. I also know my car isn't standard either. I also know I won be disappointed when my car goes for mapping.

in fact, if i only got 187hp for £1700 i think id be quite pissed off tbh. i have thought about it more and my 182 better be hitting that when it goes for mapping. for the RS2 you need an after market exhaust, i have an after market exhaust already so thats not included in the cost. so matched...
