Ah what a surprise. Not returned to comment in the drying thread, I see?

    ...and the best sealant is...?

C2 for ease of use. Used on a wet or dry car, spray on, buff off. Great looks, great durability.

    Drying.

This sounds like the Lusty versus Naith FCS comments. Internet hard case versus real life hard case. You'd turn up and Vive_le_sport would offer you a Corona in submission.

How clean can you get without using a MIT?

You can clean it with a strong TFR, degreaser, Tardis, iron x and then snow foam it til the cows come home. It'll be fairly clean, I'm sure, but will have no protection and thus leave the paint work open to the elements, undoing all of the previous cleaning and wasting money. If you're that...

Frayz's 550bhp+ Prodrive edition Impreza build...

Christ, just shows that modding cars provides no return! I regret spending 3k on my Clio! I love the car, money no object I'd buy it, good luck with the sale.

    Detailing Chat & Questions Thread

As above re polish with cut versus just a cleaner, but would go for the smaller of the two polishing discs. It requires air of time and effort, John. Budget a good 6 hours for front and rear glass. Keep checking your temperatures as well.

    Exterior Carbon Fibre

Sealing yes, but will need to be polished first to bring it back to life.

    Auto Finesse :D

Very nice, quick delivery as well, good on James and the team. Quick shout out to James as well, to say I threw away my Citrus Power delivery box on Sunday, almost without removing the catalog and lovely free air freshener buried at the bottom underneath all of the bubble packaging! So thanks...

No, I think English is his second language, so there has been something lost in translation. Vive le sport - quick English lesson. Chamois; Drying towel; So your comment s about chamois being the best was incorrect. Now calm down.

    Mitt & Microfibre Care

As Dan says. If you leave them damp you run the risk of odours and (a bit like leaving a dish to soak) the fibers may fall out as the glue softens.

    Buying stuff for cleaning, Argghhh....

Lol. We need an "Answer John's Questions" thread ;) First thing, why acid wheel cleaner? Wheel brush, love my big EZ brush. Best wheel brush I've tried. http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/wheels-and-tyres/ez-detail-brush/prod_480.html You can also pick up lots of different brushes from eBay - name...

    What have you ordered? *Detailing*

Fk1000p looks better, is easier to apply/remove and is cheaper by memory (for the oz). Oh and it's heat and fairly chemical resistant so useful on metal and wheels. Why anyone uses 476 anymore is beyond me!

Most severe swirl marks i've ever come accross!

Here's a revelation for you lot; I did the same when I was twelve. I spilled paint over a family car's bonnet. I was so upset, I spent most of my Friday evening (and pocket money) trying to get rid of it with my nails, some towels, some soap and... yes... a scouring pad!! Luckily my grandfather...
