Don't even need to drill a pilot hole either if you don't have a drill. I just screwed mine in with a screwdriver and a bit of pressure.
You can get away with just leaving a couple of hours between each different type of coat, rather than days though, if your in a rush.
Use lots of light coats, rather than few thick coats, to avoid drip/run lines.
No you shouldn't, light should turn off even if its previously been on (unless airbag has actually been triggered obviously)
