I'm pretty certain there have been no patches yet because it costs a huge of amount of money and there are only limited slots available with Microsoft and Sony for periodic updates. Would not surprise me at all if the patch is released at the same time as the Next Gen launch so they can roll...

I'm fairly sure it won't just be the PS4, unfortunately. Bedding in process I guess. But the problem folk have currently is that because the PS4's are adoption consoles, there is no customer support to help at all currently until release.

Early PS4's dying - no image just sound. Being posted over the internet and YouTube at the moment. Kotaku reported receiving a broken PS4 that had a defective HDMI-out port. Hopefully the issue isn't widespread and consumers won't be out of luck when it comes to getting replacements.

I doubt prices will drop that much either. Waiting to spend money is just prolonging the inevitable.

Re: PS4 pre-order Well that's very true. I'll be getting a PS4 but not for a few months. Really looking forward to getting the XBO next Friday. Size doesn't bother me too much as I have enough space under the TV and the 360 will make way for it anyway.

Should be, but I thought they cancelled it after a few weeks for new orders. Just need to go on a site like Shopto or Game and check I guess.

I'm not sure FIFA is free with all XBO's. I know it was included as a digital download but I'd double check because if you are expecting it to be in the package you may end up disappointed.
