    The Retro Gaming Thread

A thread dedicated to old school gaming; computers, consoles, games, peripherals. Basically, memories  Those who have played Sensible World of Soccer will recognise this intro: Jools and Jops, God bless you soldiers :approve: Those were the days.

    Best VFM anti virus?

MSE is arguably the best. I'm currently using Nod32 and have been for years now. Does the job but if I was going to change it would be Microsoft's.

Idiots also love running into Claymores. On Siene and Operation Metro, you can rack up quite a killing spree.

Leisure Suit Larry was great, but I always wanted to see some action. The little gimp got f*ck all. Does anyone remember Little Big Adventure?

LOL! I was actually resupplying you, too! That game was over pretty quickly, the opposition were coming down on the parachutes and being killed in the sky. Easy. Nelson Bay, IIRC.

Still remember my first ever BC2 online experience joining your game on White Pass with you sniping in a building by a window. You turned to see me and then started jumping up and down. Next thing I saw was a bullet going straight through your head via the window you were jumping in front of...

The choppers in Vietnam was so poor. You could litrerally take them down with a machine gun. I remember being on a hill and I was shooting at one and the pilot turned the chopper around and came right at me. I quickly ran out of ammo so desperately switched to my pistol and unloaded a full...

Same. We used to rock in those tanks and choppers. Just had a 97 minute round on Conquest. Finished with 30k points and I joined 1/4 way through. Sh*t K/D though - 37/37. Most of them my own f*cking team. The top guy got 140-20 or so. LOL, pro.

PMSL at this Brummie review. No offence, but worst accent ever. Funny though. First minute or so is graaaaaate. Av sum of that. He also sucks at Robocop.

Just use the server browser and choose the ones that don't allow the USAS or shotguns  Saying that, I got kicked out twice yesterday for team killing. The stupid b*stards could see I was firing through a doorway and still decided to run ahead and through the doorway. The one I was...

Yeah it's out in June. I'm assuming it's more than just one map though? All the previews and videos seem to centre on that one mansion, although it does look neat wandering around in there.

Yeah that sounds about right. That was 2 years work, you've managed 5 days in little over 5 months. Effort. Missing Vietnam at the moment :dapprove: Loads of folk still playing BC2 on the EA boards.

Better if a squad member has the SOFLAM. You don't have to worry about getting a lock then, it's already done. I switch between Assault/Engineer/Support depending on map. For Operation Metro and Siene, it's usually Support now. You can rake in the points with supplies.

Yeah I think I now know Operation Metro like the back of my hand. 1700 ticket games last f*cking ages. I think I'm still only Rank 29/30 but a few days ago I was on 24. LOL.

I can't seem to hit sh*t from distance. I use the LMG with support but I'm very close quarters. That's probably why I'm getting killed so often. Got 48-32 or so last game though. Bit better. Fully automatic close range. Camping sucks unless you're recon. Even then I see plenty of snipers on...

Shame that Robocop wasn't included in the Spectrum 20, and Robocod not in the Amiga selection. Although can't believe Die Hard Trilogy wasn't on the Playstation vid. Loved that game
