Used clocks near to my mileage as possible are hard to come by 2005 model @ 105K, If were to buy new £65 + vat plus 'clocking' fee would be an expensive alternative.

There is no dimmer on my panel the only time it dimms it when my sidelights are turned on. The old SMD's have started working again on the speedo but the clock is a gonner. Plus my speedo no longer gives any reading for MPG Gallon consumed I just get flashing --.-- Could this just be acase...

I marked where the notch is to keep the polarity. Now I've put the original SMD's back on and they no lighty. I have either fooked something up or I'm being a pleb.

The SMD themselves work, I just don't think they are getting supplied there right voltage anymore, the SMD'S that were originally there had an activation voltage of around 1.6v and the SMD's I bought are like 3v. Confused.com :-\

Also to check before you do go ahead with it take the green clip off and join the 2 connection in the clip and turn your ignition on if you have reversing lights then go ahead. Haynes manual may give a picture of where it's located.

I'd say it was a challenge, but I'm no mechanic enthusiast. Its easier to see once passenger side wheel and arch liner is removed, you'll see a green plug an arse to get off the switch. Then you'll need some nimble mole grips to get hold of the hex part of the switch and undo and quickly swap...

Do you have an LED light in there? If so, that's causing it. Plus you could've shorted any two of the three wires, thus causing the fuse to blow. For the LED light to work you'd need to wire in a rectifier, as this will change the alternating power source into the right polarity so it'll...

Yeh haha I marked the polarity where the corner is bevelled. With the clock I tested it by passing 12dc through the PCB that has the SMD's on and that worked. Still confused

The smd leds you're after are plcc-2 Try www.modiify.com Or just search ebay for plcc 2 and the colour.

I Don't have them as yet considering these or PI and sportlines are a bit too much of a muchness to put on such a cheap car. As for the FK springs 64.99 delivered is a nice thing but just don't buy Apex a friend has tried them - not nice.
