Re: Project Benga 16v 1.2 MK2
When swapping the seats over, you could have changed over the pre-tensioners therefore no need to solder and you use the connectors.
Bit late now like. Other than that, Nice.
As others say tyre shine will finish it off :)
I know Sportlines, are the be all and end all, is there a next best thing?
I've heard of Apex being cack.
Thinking of PI or FK springs they seem relatively priced.
Mat.
I tried this when upgrading from pov spec to 172 interior.
it's possible to do the rear like this but impossible in my eyes.
Maybe some upholstery specialists can sort it, but I for sure couldn't.
Yup you can easily replace them without having to take off the bumper just give your old grille
a firm push near the the bottom off the grill then to swap them over just pull the clips into
place on the RS grill.
Just make sure you remove any clips on the top of the grill. or be anal and...
yea sure pal just hope the connections will remain the same then it'll be easier to help you then
you'll just need a multimeter and trial and error the get the right switch the adjust the right mirror
and adjust it correctly i.e. up make the mirror tilt upwards etc...
I got the updated door cards and I spliced door looms from those which had the correct connectors I used the mirror switch in the drivers side and got the ignition live from the electric windows. Then ran the other wires to the passenger side
Could've be cheaper to by standard xenons if you knew such problems would happen,
plus I hate being blinded by aftermarket xenons very much so.
just sayin..
Other than that try sealant around the headlight cover but that would only be temporary
I've played with the same idea, although my hard wired and haven't wired in the the heaters up yet.
Not sure if the MKIII has mirror toggle switches on both sides, but on MKII on the drivers side I took
and ingnition live to feed to the electric mirrors and took a connector off a door loom...
I was just coming out of tc at the john Lewis end, then spotted what I thought was Jon g then got closer then recognised his reg.
You lot went towards Chester way off the m60.
Did the LED's have any resistors on them? If not you may have blown them, Plus check the polarity is correct. All else fails get a multi-meter sure that would point in the right way
Basically I'm trying to find a ph2 door loom
with a connector like pictured above but
I can't to find one similar
I'm wanting one with elec-window elec-mirror passenger airbags switch,
but as I've ordered a few looms none
of them have had the same connector
so I'm asking if they have the...
Well I'm currently wanting to upgrade to electric mirrors so if anyone has the same door loom connector
as me and has electric windows, electric mirrors, airbags switch so any ph2
Thanks just need to find the right loom I'm just wasting money in buying looms
I just changed over the pre-tensioners as all connections will then be the same, i'm sure my rail runner things fitted over my ph1 sport seats so im slightly confused there.
Would I just need both the door looms with electric mirror connectors.
The problems I'm encountering is I have ordered a ph2 door loom and the loom connectors to the door are not the same. :dapprove:
This is my connector but other ones are different, is there a specific loom I'll need to get...
Well I've paid a visit to Euro car parts unsure whether it's a forbidden site on here, but they sell Anschler - Sachs (I've heard of in here) - KYB
Anschler @ £63.60 a pair
Sachs @ £70.80 a pair
KYB @ £98.28 a pair
I was thinking around the £70 mark are the Sachs shocks Renault OEM...
I know that shocks won't lower the car as I was going to replace the shocks just thought I'd nail two birds with one stone so to speak.
By lowering at the same time. Just thought if there were any offers going round, if not the bay it is.
Cheers
Read through a couple of other threads of the same thing, most of them quoting rear shock failures. Checked tyre pressures too.
Any decent shocks to go for, not too far on price, considering a sensible drop at the same time too around 30mm.
Looking around on the bay there are numerous amounts...
Hi man.
Jon.G reg plate rings a bell as I have an odd memory for reg plates.
Did sound pretty loud as he has de-catted it.
Considering Birchdown just waiting for a reply from them as they state a price only for sport as you said.
I currently have a quote of £180 which is from mrclutch in...
