No stripes.
White tourinis look mint on RB, and as above.. new plates would help alot.
Amazing how much of a difference a slightly smaller numberplate can make!
I've just been having a quick look on the net and it would appear that there are a lot of whiteline products, such as sway bars, fixings, accesories etc.
What would I actually need? Hah
How are they a pain to get hold of? Can't you just order them from a site?
Thanks Skeetar, helpful post. Want this even more now :) don'tt tink the Mrs will be happy about it though :p
Thanks for the replies.
So do people just put them on the Rear or front aswell?
What like are they to fit? Difficult?
Would it be best to get the coilies first then ArB? And lastly, do you Have to have coiliess or can you fit them with springs?
Thanks.
Okay so.. Ive seen alot of people talking about these on here.
Just wondering what they actually do and how much are they?
And are they worth it?
got my 172 a couple months ago and im trying to sort it out, getting my F1's this week then hopefully some coilies after Xmas.
people say ARB's...
lol at that guy...
i paid 1700 for my 03 iceberg. 85k, long mot and tax. thought that was about right the car tbh. seen alot go for far less but they are all over 110k milage. people seem to think milage is a bad thing. as long as its got good history then i say its fine :)
Looks clean enough but surely it cant be worth that much if he started it at 99p.
must be shagged.
decent 172s still sell for 3k. bad ones sell for pennies.
Lmao. Sometimes people take the piss when delivering up here.
The only set of decent wheels for sale that I could actually pick up were tourinis but they are too expensive for me at this time of year :(
Yeah, I shall look tomorrow night or saturday and get a few quotes.
Thanks buddy!
Gotta find a set of wheels now, the ones I was planning have now sold.
Anyone selling any? :p don't need tyres, just wheels!
I forgot to say that I'm located in the highlands of scotland which is extra postage. Rediculous tbh! And very annoying.
I'm on my mobile atm but ill have a gander on my PC at the weekend when I get home.
Thanks for the replies, my brother said paisley fraight arnt very good?
It was just bare wheels, how much does a tyre weigh roughly?
Got one quote so far which was 91 quid :o
Ill defo look into that 27:99 prce though! Thanks a lot for the help!
When I bought my 172 it had stupid wheels on it so now I'm trying to get a standard wheels. But to arrange a courier I need the exact sizes and weight of the wheels.
Can anyone help? Thanks
When I went from my 1.2 to my 172, (both silver) I asked her what she thought..
Her: Its exactly the same car.
Me: no its a sport and its got a 2ltr engine, and different bumpers..
Her: Its exactly the same car.
Fail
A boy I know went from a 172 cup, to an astra GSI, then back to a 182. He's sold the 182 now but I'm sure he'll get another :p
I'm sort of thinking of a newer RS next year, mine has 86K on it now and its getting a bit rattley. Would like a tighter 182 in LY or inferno next year if I can save...
Ill think about it, are you in a rush to sell it?I was maybe thinking of a smaller aftermarket typre steering wheel. Just not sure which fits.Got not idea tbh :p
Hi all..
Same as every other 1*2 steering wheel, mine has melted and has no thumbgrips left. Very uncomfy to drive now.
So I'm on the hunt for a new wheel.
Not too expensive, just for daily driving but something that looks decent.
Any suggestions? Thanks!
Oh, and its a ph2 172!
My 2003 172 has autolights. as the above says, if you dont want them on, just turn them on off on off and it will beep. same again to put them on again.
if it was daylight then it could be a problem with your brightness sensor for your autolights? possibly.
Lol daniel,
Nothing to do with YOUR stereo problem but the previous owner has fitted a sony stereo in my car, I was just wondering what I'd need to do to put a standard one back in. Would any clio headunit fit or would it need codes etc etc?
In up under the passenger side there's 2 wires...
When I was trying to get it out, ended up using a blow torch underneath while my mate hammered a large fflat head screwdriver into the bolt, and used plenty of WD from top and bottom. Took about half an hour to get it out.
When I put the seats back in I just used a normal bolt.
