I go with Wash, Clay, IPA and then apply.
Just taking your time to ensure you have applied everywhere is key, Think I ended up with 4 coats on the front in the end to make sure 100% coverage as my first time I either missed bits or had something left on the glass causing issues.
I'd say stick with Tripple, You know where you stand with it and it's good at what it does.
Not tried 50 Cal Cover Up yet though, Blackhole is ok but I'd say Tripple trumps it.
No such thing [emoji6]
Judging by this car and your approach you want the best so either will do the job perfectly I'd have thought.
@gally @Scrooge @Lawro and many others are all more in the know than me though, I have rusty calipers :(
I don't remember mine getting sticky?? Had it 7 years and I'm sure it was fine.
Surely it must just be from crappy cockpit shine?
APC would budge it I'd have thought.
I can see how your back plays up, If I get my DA out too much I'll be buying a stool of some sort, My back was aching a bit just from doing my own car the other day.
@brucey106 - @Scrooge is your man, Down south a bit but going by what I've seen worth the drive to 'The Unit'
Cheers.... It's only a sample pot and the first time I've used it, God it spread beautifully, Will be buying a full size pot.
I just used Green Hex Logic with Menzerna 2400 using the Zenith?? technique, Modt of the car only had one pass, First time I've actually gone for correction so took it...
Another -
Was pushed for time so had to finish it a bit quickly, Eraser wipe down and Britemax Vantage applied.
Will definitely strip it all back and go over it again once the evenings draw out a bit more but I'm happy for now.
The bonnet is done and that's it for today [emoji17]
Hoping for good weather tomorrow so I can try and at least get some sort of correction and LSP down.
Auto Finesse is decent for a hobbyist
You'll struggle to cover all bases for £60 though.
Pre Wash - Avalanche/Citrus Power
Wheels - Imperial
Shampoo - Lather
Tar Remover - ObliTARate
Fallout - Iron Out
Clay/Clay Mitt - Farcela G3 (Halfords)
Polish - Tripple
Sealant/Wax - Budget dependant
Tyre...
Wash
Tar Remover
Fallout Remover
Wash
Clay
Cleanse - ie AF Rejuvenate etc.
Properly clean base for your Glaze and LSP to sit on.
You'll be surprised how much dirt is still on/in the paint even after a thorough decon, A good cleanse pulls even more dirt from the paint.
