pivot is a little nylon cap which is fitted to the gearbox you won't miss it, the clutch fork pivots on it without grease it makes an annoying squeaking noise when you press the clutch.
i had mine in for 18 months before i sold the car, and as far as i know its still going strong.
yep you can fit it with the box still in just drain the box and drop the nearside shaft out is a bit awkward though as there isn't much room! yes you leave the circlip in place you need a 4.2 mm...
under the rear mounts on some 182s are a load of washers have a mess about adding and removing them. does not give drastic adjusment but will give you a few mm.
i had the same problem with the circlip on my old valver, so i bought a ph1 172 gearbox and fitted one of these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Gearbox-renfort-Clio-Williams-JC5-JB3-16V-F7P-F7R-2L-/180653831462?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2a0fceb526
flashed you as i came off the shell garage you pulled onto blockbuster car park.
very nice and very clean.
shame about that 172 you parked near with 50 cent and his pansie boys in it!!:dead:
had a search can't seem to find any titainium 182s with orange alloys and wing mirrors.
could one of you please work your wonders. open to ideas on colours too
cheers
