Good good. A year or so ago they were poor, but those prices with the discount code used are brilliant. Delivery on Friday would mean they are probably be the best place to order from. I still think Shopto will deliver Thursday, but then it's another £6 for the game.

The issue with that is not the price, but the delivery time. Sainsbury's often deliver 2 days later. Maybe they've got their act together recently.

Will do mate, but the fact Renault have checked it and confirmed it's one tappet/lifter makes me think they're probably right. It's not mis-firing or causing any problems at all. Will certainly give it a go, though, cheers.

They can do it for around £700. That's basically tappets and cambelt. An aux belt on top of that would be another £130 or so, for peace of mind, but like I said it was only done a year or so ago. The engineer said I shouldn't need a camshaft kit and that's just Renault putting it on the quote...

KTEC said around £750 all in for tappet replacement. However, would that be without the camshaft kit? I don't even know if I need a camshaft kit. Meh.

Just an update on this, it was (and still is) tapping, but has been diagnosed as being the hydraulic lifters (tappets) by both my local garage and Renault. Some days it's louder than others. Got a quote to have them replaced by Renault : £1340. Yes. I think I'll give that one a miss. That...

Just pre-ordered with Shopto but then cancelled as I'll just go to Gamestation in town and trade in LA Noire and Deus Ex. Don't play them anymore so no big deal and it'll be cheaper in the long run. Hopefully. Knowing Gamestation they'll probably charge £60 for Batman.
