nope as you rev the engine the oil pressure increases hence the "slack" in the dephaser goes away, as the engine drops to idle the oil pressure drops and the "slack" in the dephaser comes back = ratttle rattle rattle
trust me, i do hundreds of these every year, caused by lack of oil changes =...

i just cut the wire and wired it to the oil pressure light LOL, that way it comes on when you turn the ignition on which i think is an MOT requirment (even if its removed!)
v16 - you've probably got a knackered rear wheel bearing there
adding a 10min shim to balance out the difference between 1.36 and 1.46 is a waste of time, 10min is sod all, if it were 50min+ then maybe but again when stuff gets that far off its either a knackered bearing or you've bent something
i still say the best and cheapest way to "fix" the mounts is to gut out the insides and wedge a oval rubber mount in there - done, less movement, but not as harsh (or expensive) as other solutions
