How slow was it on live data? You shouldn't see it working up and down the voltage, it should be almost flicking between the upper and lower voltages

It would be neck and neck again (stage 2 LCR) my big turbo one would have out accelerated a 182 easily. Same power and torque as my old one:

My betting the aux belt shredded and parts of it entered the timing belt and jumped the timing. Where are you based?

Diagnostics is only as good as the person using it. It's very common for people to say "oh it's the pump" just because it shows a fault.
