Hi all.
Just after a quick bit of advice on where I stand and what's the best approach for this situation.
After my girlfriend recently crashed my cup I needed some bodywork on the car.
Bought replacement parts and had them sent to the body-shop, they gave me a great quote but was cash in...
Toms not coming. He's gone to Barcelona.
This may end up being the smallest one at this rate lol.
Mady coming with you Don? Also anyone heard off of Wayne and Kim as I know they don't check here very often
Same here. Had a genuine one on but it was hanging by a thread for 4 months so finally replaced it with a non genuine one which completely broke after a month. The old one probably would have lasted longer :(
I just started reading this and was about to post no need to take it anywhere your bumpstops are missing lol.
Your diagnosis of the issue is quicker now than the hours we spent pondering mine haha.
Basically like a racecar
Mr BTM as soon as he popped the bonnet unfortunately and to be honest it's pretty obviously the dephaser.
It's a pain in the arse to come straight after everything else but I'll use it as an excuse for some goodies
Those where my wheels, had them done that colour then sold them to Clarkey.
Don you said you liked the colour on mine...did you lie :'( lol
Looks really good in my opinon mate, the side 2.0 badge looks red though, would get that done the same colour and the diamonds, if it's a track car...
LOL that cheered me up a bit haha we love you really Tom.
To be honest guys it had better last years and years lol, nearly everythings new now, drivetrain, suspension, brakes and soon a major part of the engine lol. All since January :(
It just all comes at once and usually when I've hardly...
Anymore for anymore, grubs cheap, pints aren't bad price either and a bunch of great lads and lasses.
I'm definitely going to be in a bloody vag though :( Car's in having paintwork :) but also after finally replacing clutch and gearbox, forcing myself into debt...the dephasers now knackered :( lol
As finalmaxim has said it looks like I'm good to go for tomorrow. Finished about 11 tonight (due to MORE issues) so am knackered, couldn't see so left a bit till morning, Got to just fit clutch cable and sort fluids so I'll be up bright and early.
My car will win the worst appearance prize...
Anyone free to give a hand tomorrow. Can most likely sort it myself but so much went wrong last week and as its meant to be at CSS I would really appreciate a hand or even a second set of eyes.
A combination of the fact that I was in work but also after about 9 I can't see
F' all and have no outdoor lighting. Hopefully I can get a couple hours tonight and then do the rest Friday. The cup will definitely be there...possibly :s
Well I got the power steering pipe from Fred today. Now need to but the car back together on Friday. Hopefully can get it all done in time, not making promises though I'm afraid guys.
Yeah Fred will hopefully be getting one to me today as I have no way of getting to him to get it. Looks like a right pita to change. Plus I then have a fair few bolts I forgot what they're for so will be a lot of head scratching lol.
I'd actually be quite happy to do so Daniel as I have to go exactly that way anyway. As posted above my cars currently out of action but I have almost a week, hopefully be sorted by Wednesday so if there's no other offers I should be able to.
Mate, all went well, clutch in, box in, subframe bolted up, started doing a few niggly things and then there was a drip of red landed on me...power steering fluid, I've somehow made a small nick in one of the metal pipes so that's screwed. So all progress has halted, subframe back off etc :(
I...
Should be, it should have been an easy job getting the old one out too but when you have limited tools etc something always goes wrong lol.
I also as I said have too many spare nuts and bolts :(
Cheers for posting this Don. It's a heavy beast when doing it with caveman tools and on the driveway so any help would me appreciated plus I have sort of got a few bolts and nuts I forgot to mark up that I am now unsure where they go.
Box is out so it's on it's way to being fixed. Getting a couple of parts from Ad tomorrow.
Only trouble I'm going to have is in fitting the new box, they're pretty heavy at the best of times but I'm trying to do it with the front of the car raised on axle stands and the use of a crap trolley...
Don't worry spoke to Don and we're going to sort it now. I'm having a few pretty major transport issues so am still trying to sort those but fear not Convoy to Gaydon is being arranged. It'll be brilliant as any West Mids convoy is, even the Welsh members know it ;)
TomC on here if you're quick is selling his for £2k as its what the garage have offered him trade in.
It is a genuine sale even though he hasn't owned it long, just ask him to explain if interested.
He paid a lot more than what he's asking for only a short while ago as it was in such good...
